PEGFALL does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. We do collect anonymous crash and error reports, so we can fix the game when it breaks. Everything else that leaves your device goes to Google, to power purchases, optional leaderboards, and optional cloud saves, under Google's own policies.
Your save game (progress, unlocks, settings) and anonymous gameplay statistics (for example how often balls hit pegs) are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
When the game crashes or hits an error, it sends a diagnostic report to our own self-hosted error tracker (GlitchTip, on servers we control — not a third-party analytics company). A report contains: the error message and the code location it came from, the app version, your device model and operating system, the graphics chip, a short trail of which screens you visited before the error, and an anonymous, randomly-generated install identifier. It does not contain your name, email, account, location, contacts, or anything you typed. We use it only to fix bugs. If you would rather send nothing at all, uninstalling the app stops it completely.
If you sign in to Google Play Games, Google processes your Play Games player ID, gamertag and avatar, and the scores the game submits to leaderboards (best floor, best score, daily score). We do not receive or store this data on our own systems; it is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can play without signing in, and you can manage or delete your Play Games profile in your Google account settings.
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, PEGFALL keeps a backup copy of your save game in your own Google Drive, in the hidden application-data area reserved for this game. This is what restores your progress and your purchases if you lose or replace your phone. The backup contains only game progress: currencies, unlocks, settings, statistics, and the receipts for anything you have bought. It contains no personal information.
It is stored in your Drive, not on our servers — we cannot read it, and it counts against your own Google storage. You can delete it at any time from your Google account (Drive → Settings → Managing apps → PEGFALL → Delete hidden app data), or simply never sign in to Play Games, in which case no cloud save is ever created.
Separately, Android's own Auto Backup may also copy the app's save file to your Google account as part of the system-wide device backup. That is a standard Android feature, governed by your device's backup settings, and you can turn it off in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Purchase entitlements (what you own) are stored in your local save.
PEGFALL offers optional rewarded video ads — short adverts you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus. They are never forced on you, never interrupt play, and skipping them never costs you anything. If you never tap an ad button, no ad is ever shown.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google processes your device's advertising ID and technical device information to select and deliver the ad — see Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.
In the UK and European Economic Area you will be asked for consent before any ad-related data is processed, and you can revisit that choice at any time via OPTIONS → AD PRIVACY OPTIONS in the game. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
PEGFALL contains no other analytics SDKs and no third-party tracking.
PEGFALL is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data. Because we hold none, most requests are fulfilled by Google (for Play Games and purchase data) via your Google account. For anything else, contact us and we will help.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
